What is BATA?
BATA, or the Boston Area Theatre Auditions, are an annual Non-Equity general call for the New England area. Between 25-50 producers gather together to watch 250+ live auditions over the course of two days. Auditioners will have 2 minutes and may use that time to do a monologue, song, or both.

BOSTON THEATRE RESOURCE ROUND-UP

The Boston Theatre Resource Round-Up is a curated directory of resources for Boston-area theatre makers. This includes workshops, online submissions, classes, coaching sessions, websites, instagram accounts, databases - really anything that will help support the larger Boston theatre community!

The Boston Area Theatre Auditions are an annual opportunity for Boston area Non-Equity actors to be seen by multiple theatre organizations and producers as they plan for productions over the 2026-27 season.

Our events are made possible by the generosity of our community, including a foundational gift in memory of local director and educator BJ Williams. Every donation helps to keep our registration fees low for theatre companies and enables actors to audition without cost.
